D2L/Brightspace LTI 1.3 Integration

Manual Registration

Register a new tool in your Brightspace installation:

1. Login to the Brightspace installation as an administrator.
2. Navigate to 'Admin Tools (Gear Icon)' -> 'Manage Extensibility':
   
    
3. Click the 'LTI Advantage' tab, then the 'Register Tool' button:
   
    
4. Choose Standard Registration
5. Enter the following information in the Register Tool form:

6. Name	Infobase Platform LTI (any preferred admin name)
   Description	Infobase’s new, integrated platform provides a streamlined and intuitive experience for accessing your digital collections. This platform focuses on improving usability and content delivery, making it easier for all of your users to navigate, search, and engage with high quality learning materials.
   Domain	https://lti.infobase.com/
   Redirect URLs	https://lti.infobase.com/
   OpenID Connect Login URL	https://lti.infobase.com/login
   Target Link URI	https://lti.infobase.com/
   Keyset URL	https://lti.infobase.com/keys
   Substitution Parameters	[None]
   Custom Parameters	[None]

7. Upon registering the tool, your configuration details will be displayed. Please copy and email your Client ID and Issuer to [e-mail] who will complete the connection. Please mention that you used the manual registration process.
8. After support confirms the connection has been finalized, the tool is integrated and available to deploy as illustrated in the next section below.
    

Add a deployment / Perform a test launch:

1. Confirm the registered tool is Enabled.
2. From the bottom of the page of the registered tool, click View Deployments:
   
    
3. Click New Deployment:
   
    

4. In the resulting form, enter the following:

   Enabled	CHECKED
   Tool	Select your tool from the dropdown list
   Name	Infobase Platform Deployment (any preferred deployment name)
   Description	Infobase’s new, integrated platform provides a streamlined and intuitive experience for accessing your digital collections. This platform focuses on improving usability and content delivery, making it easier for all of your users to navigate, search, and engage with high quality learning materials.
   Extensions	Check for each service you plan to use.
   Security Settings	Select as little as possible to avoid passing sensitive user information to the tool.
   Configuration Settings	Select Open as External Resource
   Substitution Parameters	[None]
   Custom Parameters	[None]
   Click the Add Org Units button, and in the popup, select which organizations/users should have access to the tool.

5. Click Create Deployment.
6. In the popup deployment details, click the View Links button.
7. Click New Link:
   
8. In the resulting form, enter the following:

   Name	Infobase Platform
   URL	All products - use this URL to display all of your available Infobase Platform products together within a single tool: https://lti.infobase.com/ Single product - use the URL for the specific product you want to display. 10. Click Save and Close
11. The tool is now ready to use.
