The upgraded platform experience for existing Infobase customers offers a self-service approach for releasing several new benefits to your patrons.
Explore the New Experience in Preview Mode
Your account administrator will receive an email from Infobase when your account is eligible to upgrade and the preview mode has been enabled for your account. The preview mode is accessible by clicking on the Infobase Platform placard "Open Product" shortcut in the Admin Portal.
Turn on the New Experience for your Patrons
The account administrator can review copied account and product settings in the upgraded experience and once satisfied can then convert the entire account over to the upgrade experience by clicking on the "Upgrade Me" button available in the Admin Portal. When that upgrade button is selected, a redirect system is enabled, redirecting any account traffic to the legacy URLs to the new experience. Please be aware that upgrading cannot be reversed in the Admin Portal.
Socialize the Benefits
As a recommended best practice, be sure to update direct access links to products you subscribe to and review the authentication settings offered through the upgraded experience that best meet your organization's current policies and practice.
The upgraded platform brings a wealth of benefits, including:
- Enhanced search capabilities: Discover information more efficiently and effectively with our improved search functionality and filtering.
- Collaboration tools: Save and share resources for individual or community projects, retrieving important resources for later access.
- Personal user accounts: Individuals can create their own user accounts to organize and personalize playlists and saved items.
- Unified browsing: Easily switch between Infobase products within one unified platform while searching and browsing.
Be sure to update any help links to this help center so that screen shots and features can be readily available to your end users.
