Customers using the Canvas LMS (Learning Management System) can embed content from the Infobase Platform directly into their courses. For setup and installation instructions, please refer to the Canvas LTI 1.3 Integration article.
The LTI app provides a rich integration between the Infobase Platform and your Canvas courses. Users of Canvas can embed Infobase Platform resources directly inside their courses, without having to leave the LMS. This plugin is LTI-based and integrates directly into the standard Canvas HTML editor within a course.
Using the Infobase Platform Canvas Plugin
Once installed, Infobase Platform resources may be embedded using the Infobase Platform button found inside Canvas. Any content block that loads the HTML editor will have this icon.
Click on the below plugin button to launch the application:
Once you click on this button, you will see the embed content window with an Infobase Platform search box. Enter a keyword or phrase in the box and click Search. Your search results will resemble the below image.
The search results page offers several functions:

Filtering Options
- Content Type
- Collections (if your tool has more than one product integrated, use this to filter by product, such as Films On Demand)
- Copyright Dates
- Formats
- Languages
- Length
- Producers (video content) or Publishers (books/databases)
- Subjects

- Thumbnail image
- Title
- Format
- Run Time (video content) or Word Count (books/databases)
- Description
- Copyright (video content) or Publication Year (books/databases)

Embed and Preview
- Embed options: Small, Medium, or Large.
- Preview: Displays the content for you to preview.
Once you have chosen content to embed, click on the Embed button.
You will be returned to the editor and your content will appear within the HTML editor.
