EBSCO is now partnering with OpenAthens to manage authentication. To set this up, we will need the following information:
- OA Federated Entity ID (https://idp.***.edu/openathens)
- Scope (****.edu or ***.co.uk)
- Organisation ID
- Proxy IP
This information is usually sent to us directly by EBSCO but can also be looked up at https://login.openathens.net/org-list, other than the proxy IP.
We add this information to your account and provide a URL using the redirector prefix that Open Athens provides. You also need to ask EBSCO to enable the resource for your account.
Please note that you will not see the redirector prefix in your record URLs. The account ID in the URLs will point to your OpenAthens authentication if you have it set up as your preferred remote access method with Infobase. For more about this, see our article Linking with your Infobase account ID.
Please also note that we cannot currently limit access by role. Anyone within your organization's scope will be allowed access. If this is a concern, please reach out to productsupport@infobase.com on alternate authentication methods.
